G'day from Downunder....I had a fantastic time at the Writers
Festival. Thanks for making it possible for me to come over from
Australia and have a place to crash...ie Michael Williams
digs....I ended up staying in Nashville till after 4th of July.
That was something to experience!...I couldn't be happier mate
and really appreciate the open friendly atmosphere with all
thewriters. I'd certainly like to do some co-writing while I'm
back home inOz.. Any of the writers can give me a hoy on the
email and set up a time to co-write over MSN or something like
that...Im putting some bicky's away to hopefully come back in
2008.
Thanks guys..!

Just wanted to say hi and tell you what a great time

your hard work! See ya next year!

The Festival was wonderful, and I met some great
people, including yourself, some of whom I still
stay in touch with. I'm going to send you the
full 276 photos. They turned out great! I had a
wonderful time, and it gave me the missing elements
in songwriting, I had been seeking for a long time.
It was also gratifying that so many people gave
support with my songs at the performance stages,
when I had hoped that mine would meet the standard
of theirs. It really introduced me to Nashville as a
songwriting town in a nice way. And I had such a
great time, and learned so much. Look forward to
seeing you all soon. Sincerely, Milton. Milton

Thanks for the fest. slots & great finally seeing you personally. Had a
great time. The American Mood
I was extremely impressed by the festival!!!!! I've never been to a
festival where I felt so much at home with no pressure to be commercial,
no hype, just all about songs and songwriters. I'm already planning to
attend next year. It was my first performance in Nashville and I had an
an excellent time. The open houses were also incredible, met some people
I would not have known how to meet otherwise. I wish the best to
you and hope you continue for many years to come. Nomi
Just

Thank you thank you for all your hard work and efforts to
make a grand weekend for us singer /songwriters! I truly am
grateful for everything.
I just want to thank you for the opportunity of being a
part of the Songwriter's Festival in Nashville this past
weekend. I know what a lot of work it was to get together
and I appreciate all the hard work you and the volunteers
did. This was our first visit to the Fest, and we hope to
see you again. God Bless! Nan
Met many new people that will always be my heroes. One
thing that struck me was a really great performer and guitar
player from Nashville. After thrilling and amazing the crowd
with the first song he went to do the second song, looked
out at his wife and said "what's the first word?" At that
moment I realized no matter how great a songwriter you are,
we all have the same problems at times. (a wife sitting in
the front row is something we all need) Just being around
really talented songwriters and being accepted gave me a new
confidence in myself. Thank You all for making this
experience possible! Wayne Longtin Sr.
It's wonderful to see how you have grown this festival into
a community event that's open to everyone who has a love for
music including professionals and non professionals alike!
From the donation status of attending the event and the
welcoming of novices alongside the pros sounds so wonderful.
You are clearly capable of working magic in the favor of
music, a common love amongst us all -congratulations! Deidre

Thanks for all the hospitality, help etc. Met so

It was such a nice and wonderful
experience to meet both of you and all of the wonderful people at
the Songwriters Festival in Nashville! I can't tell you how much it
meant to me to be a part of such a fantastic and awe-inspiring
experience.
You give so much to this good world with
this very very special occasion to bring so many great folks
together to give themselves to us! I definitely have never
experienced anything like this before and the memory of it will stay
with me forever! I have told so many folks about it too and have a
couple of gals that are interested in joining in next year,
I'd like to join in again next year
as a volunteer!
Also, I will give your e-mail address
to a couple of gals that are interested so that they can contact
you about being in the festival too. Sunshine and Love, Pattie

Honestly and sincerely have a ton of
respect for what you do.
You're what songwriting is all about and you've inspired me to do a
simple acoustic CD of my songs.
Just for the heck of of it!That's what it's about.
Thank you JD
The fest was fantastic. We really loved

Hey Popcorn, I really enjoyed the
songwriter's fest this past week. Got to meet a bunch of neat and
talented people and (somewhat) learn my way around Nashville. Do you
happen to have a good email addy for Charlie Craig? I tried one listed
on his website and it was no longer good. I would appreciate it if you
could send it to me. Thanks again, Buddy Cariker chilione@valornet.com

I just wanted to thank him for his
participation in the songwriter's fest. His critiques were right on
the money. I also wanted to see if he would be interested in
cowriting some songs with me. Thanks to you too, and all the guys
who worked so hard to put this thing together. Everyone seemed to
have enjoyed it and learned plenty too.

Popcorn, I cannot begin to tell you what
the experience last week has meant to me. As a result, I am working my
way towards a permanent residence there and getting serious about my
professionalism. In short, I'm coming to join you guys! Please add me to
your volunteer list for this and any other event you guys need a hand
with. I've never gone to a place and felt so welcome and invited,
realizing that this is where I need to be. I know I am just one of many
to thank you for the great job you did. This was more than just a
festival and retreat. This has been an awakening. Sincerely, Charley

Hey. Just wanted to say I had a ball this
past weekend. Met some very cool people and heard some great music. This
was my first fest but will be back next year. Thanks, Eric Jordan |
Jay & I just wanted to thank you and
Regina so much for all of your hardwork, diligence and perseverance! The festival is a very important tool
forso many songwriters across the nation. We saw that this past weekend. It
couldn't have gone on without all of your unselfish hard work. Plus,
just
knowing you were always somewhere around the corner if we needed you for
something was reassuring to us novices. It was so cool driving up Sunday
night and seeing you, Regina, Toast and Don. You guys are all so
wonderful
and we love you for it! Thank you!
Much love,
Miss Diana
You were so right when you remarked that our daughter might surprise
us. She and Angie have emmerged from Nashville with a picture of
personal responsibility. But also, Kayleigh's low-key
personality arrived in Nashville without an ounce of showmanship.
Last night at Roberts Western World, she sang like we've never heard
her and left the stage in a cloud of rosin and horsehairs hanging
from her bow. The electified crowd was estatic and we were stunned.
I asked Kayleigh how she could transform from a lifetime of
expressionless performing into such a ball of energy. She replied,
"it started with the Songwriter's Festival and just kept growing".
|

During her stay, Kayleigh has written several songs, two of which
have had performers telling her they can't get the songs out of
their heads. Additionally, she won the Nashville Star Search 2006
Songwriter's Award and was a finalist in the performing category.
Her reward is a full CD of her songs recorded at Omni. She also has
a 1/2 hour performing slot at a local TV station. Kayleigh will
return to Boise State to finish her Psch degree and in 2 years
return to Nashville to take one more shot at fame and fortune.
Hopefully, you'll still have the Songwriter's festival which Angie &
Kayleigh said was simply terrific...made so many friends. What a
great way to have started their stay in Nashville!! Thank you again,
Daren
So, I wanted to share this with you and to simply say thanks.

Thank all of you for helping me. It turned out great by the word I got
back. Hope we can do more for our song writers. Tell everyone I sure do
appreciate the help and the kindness that everyone has showed. LETS
BRING MUSIC BACK TO MUSIC ROW!!!

"I was one of the attendees at the wonderful
Songwriter's Festival last year. Lots has happened since...starting to get takes
on my songs, have a publisher working them, got an Honorable Mention in the
Nashville Song Search and was one of 10 finalists in the USA Songwriting
Competition Country division. And being onstage at YOUR festival gave me the
gumption to do my first audition in 25
years...and I'll be at the Bluebird on February 29, Writers Night. (I had
stopped writing for a long time and just started again about 18 months ago).
Bless you and thank you for giving us a place to stretch our wings. I'll check
and see if my friend Dan Thomas can come too. All the very very best..." |

too!)

"Had a really
interesting time this past Sunday. I really didn't
know exactly what to expect, but, got more than what I
planned on. Met some fine writers and exchanged
several names, addresses, and e-mail adds., too. And
heard some great songs. One other thing, you mentioned about
using me to do some emcee work for you next year at the
Songwriters Festival. I would be more than happy to do
that. Let me know what you need, I will pitch right
in. Thanks again, for what you all are doing to get
writers heads together." |

"No
sweat, I completely understand about innovative
technology and how annoying it can be at times. I
sometimes think AOL stands for Always Out of Luck. Can't
live with it................etc. I (we) highly
appreciate the time you take to answer emails from the
little guys. We can't begin to thank you enough for all
you do, without you we wouldn't even have a Fest to
enjoy. If some folks around here see my pics up in
lights, maybe I can get them to caravan on down to the
Fest this year from Lincoln. For 2005 it was just myself
and two buddies in a van. But you know, sitting on Music
Row with guitar in hand and actually playing my songs
was an unbelievable experience. Keep on, keepin' it
real, with the real deal. Yours in song..."
