Idle Hour

(Music Square East same street 1 1/2 blocks from Sure Fire stage)
Nashville, TN 37203 Directions
The Idle Hour is used daily by  songwriters who want a cold whatever while out working or hanging out on the Row.   Quite a few Country Music Stars have been discovered here down thru the 50 years it's been open. To name only a few recently, Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, David Lee Murphy and David Ball.  You never know who you're gonna run into. We ran onto Gretchen Wilson and Tom T. Hall's son Dean there and shared a beer.  Willy, Waylon, George, Faron, Webb, Lefty and Hag have all drank here, among many others in the past. The Idle Hour is the only Beer Bar left on Music Row/16th Ave, actually the ONLY Bar period.  Anytime after 11 am, 7 days a week, you can drop in and catch writers passing the guitar down the bar. Three out of the 4 Bartenders are also songwriters.  Be there for the Fest party.
Alley Cat Stage   Come get up close and personal at this 2 Mic acoustic stage added in cozy spot between Studio 33 Music Group and Vibe. 58 Music Sq, West Nashville, Tn 37203 Directions
